Painted and Historic Churches – Tour C
Fayette & Lee Counties

This is an ten-hour tour.

Visit 5 painted and historic Sorb, Wend, German, and Czech churches. 

The denominations are Lutheran, Catholic, and Presbyterian.  

These churches can be found in Swiss Alp, Hostyn, Winchester, Serbin, and Giddings. 

This tour has several highlights including:

  • A replica of a grotto
  • Several stone monuments
  • A reconstructed 1850s church
  • The Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center in La Grange
  • Texas Wendish Heritage Museum in Serbin. 

Lunch is an authentically prepared Wendish meal.
